Our Mission

Building a Circular Economy for Alabama

The Alabama Recycling Coalition (ARC) was founded in 1992 by stakeholders from across the state with the goal of promoting responsible material management and improving recycling infrastructure. Since its inception, ARC has worked to support local waste management operations, enhance recycling efforts, and help industries adopt sustainable practices.

Education and Awareness Providing valuable resources, workshops, and Annual Conference & Expo

Collaboration and Networking We unite stakeholders, including local governments, businesses, non-profits, and manufacturers, to foster cooperation in advancing recycling and industry efforts in Alabama.

Advocacy for Policy and Infrastructure Improvement ARC advocates for policies that promote sustainable waste management practices, and works to improve recycling infrastructure and access statewide.

Support for Recycling Businesses and Industries We partner with local businesses and manufacturers to help them drive recycling content and support a circular economy.
